• Minimum six (6) months experience in an acute mental health treatment setting within the past four years.
• Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program, or otherwise qualified for California licensure as a Psychiatric Technician.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing mental health services in California.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients and communicates with them appropriately.
• Administers medications and treatments; performs vitals and follows escalation pathways.
• Participates in classes/workshops and coordinates end-of-episode care under the care team.
• Documents physician orders accurately and timely; completes referrals and refill requests.
