Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL, seeks an Acute Occupational Therapist to join the Rehabilitation Services team at St. Joseph’s Main Hospital. This full-time position focuses on evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans to improve daily living activities, mobility, and safety.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure quality patient care. The role requires a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and BLS certification, with a preference for 1 year of

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• 1-year OT experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and adaptive equipment training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety at home.
• Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• OT (Occupational Therapy)
• Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
• Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
• Preferred 1-year Occupational Therapy
