Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a registered nurse to provide safe, therapeutic care using the nursing process in an acute care setting. You will work as part of interdisciplinary teams and support other members of the nursing staff.

The role requires at least two years of medical-surgical experience, the ability to meet physical demands, and flexibility to orient at all UCSF Medical Center locations. A BSN is preferred, and active California RN licensure with CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent adult medical-surgical clinical RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Multisystem assessment skills are essential to provide pain management, pulmonary and cardiovascular assessment, and management of fluid and electrolyte imbalance
• This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision.
• Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team
