• Review providers’ orders and quick-register patients when needed.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers prior to all collections.
• Obtain blood specimens through various methods.
• Label specimens correctly to ensure integrity.
• Coordinate drug-monitoring collections with nursing.
• Process specimens and distribute them appropriately.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
