Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum nine months of RN experience.
• One year of ED experience or Kaiser New Grad Internship in the Emergency Department.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS required at hire; ENPC or PALS within 6 months.
• RN license for Oregon; ACLS.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 3 months.
• Keyboarding skills; ENPC certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Perform accurate nursing assessments, plan for discharge, and coordinate with hospital departments.
• Administer medications per physician orders and document in the EMR.
• Coordinate care activities and discharge planning to optimize patient outcomes.
