Job Overview

The Inpatient Services Charge Nurse is an additional responsibility assigned to the Inpatient Services RN for a limited period, focusing on specific duties as designated by the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality Acute Dialysis Services by coordinating, scheduling, and directing staff and treatments.
• Perform acute treatments and oversee patient care in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with technical staff for maintenance, repairs, and infection control.
• Maintain documentation and monitor compliance with ACES and other regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and communicate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Work involves desk work, patient interaction, travel between facilities, and physical activities like lifting and moving patients.
• Work environment is a healthcare setting with potential exposure to infectious materials.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 9 months nursing experience, with 3 months in dialysis care; 6 months dialysis experience in an acute setting preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Supervision

Supervised by Inpatient Services RN and PCTs at assigned facilities.
