Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the applicable state or a valid compact license, in good standing.
  • 12+ months of nursing experience preferred; dialysis or nephrology experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification through an approved program.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn clinical applications.
  • Ability to meet applicable state, hospital, and program-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate acute dialysis care in collaboration with physicians and hospital care teams.
  • Perform patient assessments before and after treatment and monitor patients throughout therapy.
  • Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments, including catheter care.
  • Administer medications and provide patient education as ordered.
  • Provide dialysis therapies such as Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, CRRT, and TPE, as applicable to the program.
  • Maintain dialysis equipment and complete required safety, water quality, and infection control checks.
  • Accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient information.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, hospital nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support quality initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes and reducing hospitalizations.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with staff training and development.
