Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Gulfport, MS is seeking a dialysis support team member to assist in inpatient dialysis services. You will work under the Hemodialysis RN, help prepare and monitor machines, and ensure patient safety and accurate documentation during treatment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, CMS/state certification readiness, and strong communication skills. Ishihara color vision testing is required with accommodation options available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet CMS/state certification requirements within required state or CMS timeline.
• Effective communication skills – verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of Hemodialysis RN in the dialysis suite.
• Report and document incidents, complaints, or problems to the RN.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and participate in QEP/QAI activities.
• Set up and prime equipment for renal replacement therapies as directed by the Fresenius RN.
• Ensure dialysis machine setup, testing, and safe operation per policy and manufacturer instructions.
• Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight; report irregular findings to RN.
• Document all patient treatment information in EMS and ACES records.
• Calculate and enter dialysis machine programming for UF goals and modeling.
• Assist with patient cannulation issues and report accordingly to RN.
• Assist with discharge procedures and apply appropriate dressings as needed.
