Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Florence, SC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the renal care team. Under RN supervision, you will assist in delivering dialysis therapy, maintain a safe patient environment, and help with treatment setup and data recording.

Responsibilities include vital signs monitoring, report of irregularities to the FMCNA RN, and adherence to facility protocols. Some travel between facilities may be required; high school diploma and PCT certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid PCT certification or state-specific certification required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under supervision of FMCNA RN.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
• Sets up and primes equipment for renal replacement therapies as directed.
• Welcomes patients and reports concerns to the FMCNA RN.
• Monitors vital signs and reports abnormalities to FMCNA RN.
• Calculates dialysis treatment parameters per orders.
• Records treatment data accurately on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Travel between facilities as required.
