Acute Clinician

We have full time & PRN shifts available!

Brynn Marr Hospital is committed to providing the highest standard of psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, and children. Since 1983, our behavioral health therapists in Jacksonville, NC, have equipped patients with the skills they need to live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. We offer evidence-based treatment programs that address a number of issues, including grief, trauma, psychiatric disorders, and substance abuse problems.

Acute Clinicians are responsible for providing therapeutic services for patients.

Interviewing and developing the psychological history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family throughout treatment, developing appropriate treatment objectives and summaries, and assessing patients' response to treatment interventions. Work closely with other clinical and program staff in treatment planning and delivery of clinical services. Acts as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Act as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum of Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

None required.

License / Certification:

LCMHC/LCMHCA, LCSW/LCSWA, LMFT/LMFTA. Compliance with state board requirements for supervised practice while pursuing independent licensure.

Physical requirements:

Medium Work - Exerting 20 - 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 - 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
