Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with acute care experience in Nebraska to dispense medications accurately and provide pharmacotherapy recommendations. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize regimens, monitor outcomes, and ensure compliance with USP/JCAHO/DEA standards.

Responsibilities include formulary development, SOP updates, medication reconciliation, and discharge planning, plus mentorship of junior staff and ongoing quality improvement

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent and current licensure is required.
  • Experience in acute care settings with emphasis on safe medication use and patient outcomes.
  • Knowledge of USP, JCAHO, and DEA standards.
  • Experience with sterile and non-sterile dispensing and accurate labeling.
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately and safely, ensuring proper dosing and labeling.
  • Provide clinical pharmacotherapy recommendations for acute patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize therapeutic regimens.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adverse events related to medications.
  • Ensure regulatory and safety standards compliance (USP, JCAHO, DEA).
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement and performance metrics tracking.
  • Develop and update formulary and SOPs.
  • Provide drug information and education to healthcare team and patients.
  • Assist in medication reconciliation and discharge planning.
  • Manage inventory, storage conditions, and minimize waste.
  • Mentor junior pharmacy staff and contribute to professional development.
  • Contract role on-site with ability to work in a high-visibility, results-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making; proficiency with pipelines and dashboards.
  • On-call or be available for critical patient care periods as needed.

  • Provide drug information and education to healthcare team and patients.

  • Manage inventory, storage conditions, and minimization of waste.
  • Mentor junior pharmacy staff and contribute to professional development.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) with current license
  • Clinical Pharmacist with acute care or hospital experience
  • Therapeutic monitoring and optimization of regimens in acute care
  • Regulatory/compliance knowledge (USP, JCAHO, DEA rules) and safety standards
  • Accurate sterile/non-sterile dispensing and labeling proficiency
  • Collaborative practice with physicians and nurses; effective communication
  • Pharmacovigilance: adverse event assessment and reporting
  • Formulary development, maintenance, and SOP updates
  • Medication reconciliation and discharge planning expertise
  • Quality improvement participation and performance metrics tracking
  • Inventory management, storage conditions, and waste minimization
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to professional development
