Job summary

Banner Payson Medical Center is seeking an Acute Clinical Staff Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care, engage in pharmacokinetics and renal dosing, and supervise technicians. The role includes IV/chemotherapy compounding and collaboration with outpatient clinics.

The position involves a varied schedule with days, on-call, weekends, and holidays. A $20,000 hire-on incentive and relocation assistance are available to the selected candidate.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice.
• Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance card for Banner Arizona positions at hire or during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care using the medication use process.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and interns, coordinating workflow.
• Assess patient data and provide clinical interventions as needed.
• Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile or non-sterile compounding.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Therapeutics directives and regulations.
• Collaborate with providers across inpatient and outpatient settings.
