Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care inpatient unit with required acute care experience and a valid state PT license. The role is based in a 253-bed hospital with an inpatient rehab unit and a day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of inpatients, collaboration with OT/SLP teams, documentation in Meditech EMR, and a 26-week assignment with weekends/holidays rotation. Travel-friendly with housing and licensure support.

Qualifications

• Valid state PT license
• MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• ICU experience preferred
• Strong collaborative, outgoing, and communication skills preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One to two professional references required depending on state

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Physical Therapy unit within a 253-bed acute care hospital, including a 20-bed Inpatient Rehab unit
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Unit staffed by approximately 20 PT caregivers including PT, OT, and SLP on day shift
• Typical caseload of 9-10 patients per day at a 75% productivity standard
• Utilizes mobility equipment for patient care
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility employees
• 26-week assignment duration
• Primary responsibilities include physical therapy evaluation and treatment of inpatients
• Collaborative team environment working alongside OT and SLP staff
• Scrub color requirements vary by role per facility policy
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
