Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Plano, TX is seeking a Therapy Aide to join the Acute Care team on a full-time basis. Starting rate is $18/hr.

The role includes assisting therapists, patient handling, and helping with therapy setup in a fast-paced inpatient setting. Qualified candidates will have therapy tech experience (preferred in acute care or inpatient rehab) and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of therapy tech or nursing technician experience.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with patient care and tasks.
• Move and transfer patients safely between surfaces.
• Position patients and assist with therapeutic activities.
• Prepare and position equipment and supplies for therapy sessions.
• Transport patients to/from therapy sessions as needed.
• Support with patient positioning and equipment setup for therapy.
• Support documentation and data entry related to patient care.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients during therapy sessions.
