Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon, GA is seeking a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for an inpatient General Surgery/Trauma Surgery role. This full-time position operates 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or on-call requirements, and supports a Level I Trauma Center.

You will work with surgeons and APPs in a fast-paced inpatient setting, managing approximately 15 patients per day, coordinating complex trauma care, and performing rounds and daily

Qualifications

• Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification.
• Be eligible for or possess Georgia licensure.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Possess a passion for trauma and acute care surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care.
• Participate in daily rounding and multidisciplinary care discussions.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and ancillary teams.
• Manage patient admissions, consults, and follow-up care as appropriate.
• Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care and documentation.
