Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for an inpatient General and Trauma Surgery role in Macon, GA. This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties, featuring an average census of about 15 patients per day.

You will work closely with surgeons and APPs in a Level I Trauma Center, delivering high-quality patient care and coordinating comprehensive treatment plans.

Qualifications

  • Certified as a PA or Nurse Practitioner with acute care certification.
  • Eligible for Georgia licensure to practice in inpatient settings.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking for trauma care.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative hospital environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient care for General Surgery and Trauma Surgery patients.
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.

Join a highly respected team of Acute Care Surgeons supporting a busy Level I Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for a PA or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to work alongside experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced inpatient environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Position Highlights
  • Full-time, inpatient APP position Monday – Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
