Job summary

Advocate Health in Oshkosh, WI seeks a part-time acute care surgeon to join an established team at the 84-bed Level IV hospital. The role features 6 24-hour shifts per month, with on-call requirements and a flexible schedule including one weekend per month.

You will provide inpatient acute care, rounds, emergency consultations, and participate in an integrated practice environment with Epic EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program.
• Skilled surgeon who can perform well under pressure.
• Skills in the full spectrum of general surgery.
• Collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Cover 6 24-hour shifts per month for same-day emergency general surgery.
• Do inpatient rounds on the acute care service and follow-up clinics.
• Be onsite during the day/evenings with 60-minute on-call response.
• ACS-only position with 100% inpatient duties and rotation-based call coverage.
