Job summary

Piedmont Newton and Piedmont Walton are actively hiring surgicalists/acute care surgery providers to service two Georgia locations. You will provide emergency department surgical response, oversee inpatient rounds, and handle inpatient consultation, while working with ambulatory surgeons to keep hospital-based acute care separate from elective clinic and OR work.

Shifts include twelve 24-hour periods per month, with onsite and remote components; three shifts per month include a Fri/Sat/Sun

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited general surgery residency.
• Board certification, or board eligibility with a defined path to certification in general surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency department surgical response and inpatient surgical consultations.
• Oversee inpatient surgical rounds and coordinate with ambulatory general surgeons.
• Support hospital-based acute and inpatient care distinct from scheduled clinic/elective OR work.
