Skilled Wound Care in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon to join our no‑call, Monday–Friday practice. You will perform wound care and bedside procedures, lead initiatives in SNFs across the area, and enjoy clinical autonomy outside traditional hospital settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols

Acute Care Surgeon Salary & Compensation

• Full-time Average Annual Earnings: $200,000–$500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
• High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
• Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs

Acute Care Surgeon Schedule

• Part-Time: 2–3 days per week
• Full-Time: 4–5 days per week

Acute Care Surgeon Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Acute Care Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
