Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon in Sacramento, CA to join a no-call, Monday-Friday schedule with full-time or part-time options. This role focuses on wound care medicine outside the trauma-intensive hospital setting.

You will perform bedside debridement and wound care procedures, lead wound care initiatives in SNFs, and benefit from flexible hours, no-night call, and a productive, physician-friendly practice.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• No prior wound care experience required; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and wound protocols; lead wound care initiatives in SNFs and post-acute settings.

Acute Care Surgeon Schedule

We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:

Acute Care Surgeon Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution

Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
