Job summary

White Oak Medical Center seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for Acute Care Rehabilitation. You will perform initial exams, plan and deliver therapy, coordinate discharge, and document progress within the care team. Per diem schedule with day shifts and weekend requirements.

Minimum 2 years of experience (1 year in acute care preferred), MD license, and BLS familiarity required. Per diem rate $60/hour with 403(b) retirement and parking benefits. Adventist HealthCare network support included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited SLP program
• Minimum 2 years experience (1 year in acute care preferred)
• Active Maryland License and BLS/CPR certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis and plan of care
• Provide, supervise, and document therapy interventions
• Plan for discharge and follow-up in coordination with the care team
• Communicate and document all patient management activities with the care team
• Manage clinician schedules and participate in team meetings
• Contribute to professional development and practice improvement
• Educate consumers and healthcare professionals about therapy benefits
