Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Speech Pathology Therapist to join the Rehabilitation team. You will provide diagnostic, evaluative, and therapeutic speech-language services to patients, under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Manager.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CA licensure eligibility, ASHA or equivalent supervision, and a current BLS certificate. Prior acute hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diagnosis and treatment of swallow disorders is required.
• Ability to analyze test results to determine communicative abilities and therapy needs.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
• Licensed in California or eligible; ASHA CCC or RPE/CFY supervised by licensed SLP per guidelines is required.
• Current BLS certificate is required.
• One year of acute hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement diagnostic, evaluative, and therapeutic speech-language procedures as prescribed.
• Conduct evaluations appropriate to patient age and condition; document results.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and home programs.
• Communicate discharge plans and progress with patient, family, and care team.
