Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for a role providing evaluation and treatment for speech, language, voice, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings. The SLP II will work independently across diagnostic groups and may supervise graduate students.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology, SLP licensure, CCC-SLP, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• License Speech Language Pathologist Li required.
• Certificate 1 Cert of Clin Competence - SLP required.
• Certificate 2 Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients; determine appropriateness of referral, etiology & extent of the communication, swallowing or voice disorder; examination may include FEES, videofluoroscopic swallowing evaluation, and videostroboscopic voice evaluation.
• Develop goals and therapeutic program; provide therapy and implement plan of care.
• Identify diagnosis, prognosis & discuss care plan with patient, family, supports and medical team.
• Manage a defined caseload and perform administrative responsibilities including data collection, billing, and attending department meetings.
