Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to join the Acute Care Medicine unit on a part-time daytime schedule. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and educate patients and families on disease management and post-discharge needs.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required with state RN
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience level varies; entry to mid-career with potential for ladder advancement

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, planning and evaluating care.
• Educates patients and families on illness, treatment, home care and medications.
• Promotes patient safety, quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and documents plans of care with the interprofessional team and caregivers.
• Communicates effectively across the continuum of care; supports a safe work environment.
