Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC Arcadia Hospital seeks a clinically competent registered nurse to provide safe, therapeutic care for acutely ill patients in medical/surgical and maternal child health units. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

The role requires adherence to nursing standards, competency in IV therapy and medication administration, and participation in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Possess Basic Computer Skills, Required
• A registered nurse with current RN experience in the specific service or department is preferred.
• Current RN experience in assigned area of Nursing, preferred.
• One-year acute care experience, preferred
• A current RN licensure in the State of California is required.
• ACLS certification required when appropriate.
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate IRAISE values in all patient care interactions.
• Adhere to established nursing standards of practice and promote teamwork.
• Maintain competency in medication administration and IV therapy
