Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide professional and technical skills for patient safety, comfort, and personal care. You will perform the nursing process and collaborate with patients, families, and staff to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires a BSN or higher, CA RN license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications, with strong English communication and teamwork. Position emphasizes patient-centered care within a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher in Nursing for all external candidates.
• Current CA Registered Nurse License, BLS, and ACLS.
• Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/Neglect, and Ethics.
• Tuberculosis Screening, Licensure renewal, BLS, ACLS.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical nursing care to patients following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Ensure safety, comfort and personal hygiene in patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and coworkers; uphold professional nursing behavior.
