Job summary

JAX Jackson General Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory therapies per physician orders and to monitor, document, and adjust treatments. The role involves patient assessment, equipment setup, and collaboration with the medical team on ventilation and airway management.

The ideal candidate will hold LRTR licensure, have completed an accredited RT program, and maintain BLS/ACLS certification; PED and pediatric experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Licensed by West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care as LRTR.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered.
• Review patient charts and physician orders; set up equipment and administer treatments.
• Draw blood for lab tests.
• Monitor ventilation support and airway management; suctioning as needed.
• Document treatment and patient response; communicate with the team.
• Attend rounds and report changes; respond to emergencies.
