Job summary

Beachwood Post Acute & Rehab is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver patient-focused respiratory care in our facility. You will follow supervisor instructions, adhere to policies, and document patient data accurately to guide care outcomes.

The role requires an Associate Degree in respiratory care, licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and CPR/BLS; ACLS preferred. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associate Degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in the health care field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care members and document diagnoses.
• Plan for outcomes of care for patients assigned.
• Adhere to emergency, safety and infection control procedures of the facility.
• Report changes in the patient’s respiratory status to the Director/Supervisor, nurse in charge, and physician as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
