Job Description

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for managing patient care in the Emergency Room, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
• Ability to pass Critical Care exam within one month of employment or hold a current CEN certificate.
• Preferred: Past Emergency Department experience and one year of medical/surgical RN experience.
• Meet physical pre-placement screening requirements.
• Experience in ambulatory care setting or physician office practice, supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, staff, and management.
• Highly motivated and able to work outside normal hours as volume demands.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and collaborate with other health personnel.
• Strong organizational skills.
