Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, NC seeks an Acute Care RN (PT) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across Med/Surg, Progressive Care and ICU units. You will participate in pre‑ and post‑operative care and advocate for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, NC RN license (eNLC may apply), and BLS/ACLS and CPI certifications; at least one year of RN experience preferred.

Formación

• One year of RN experience is required or preferred.
• Strong hospital experience is preferred.
• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing is required (eNLC may apply).
• BLS, ACLS and CPI certifications are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, noting changes in status.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient record promptly and thoroughly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This department is a combination of Med/Surg, Progressive Care and ICU patients.

The Acute Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Experience: One year of RN experience
• Preferred Experience: Strong hospital experience
• Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing
• Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS and CPI
