Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for an acute care inpatient setting. The role requires an Associate Degree in PTA, licensure, and 1–2 years of clinical experience. You will perform therapy procedures, teach exercises to patients and families, document care, and supervise support staff and students.

Shifts include 8-hour days with every other weekend and rotating holidays. AHA BLS certification is required, and flu vaccination is expected.

Qualifications

• One to two years of Physical Therapy clinical experience.
• Must have experience working in the Acute Care Inpatient setting.
• Associate Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the APTA.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy treatment procedures following the treatment plans.
• Follows safety precautions in application of modalities and therapeutic exercise.
• Teaches patients and family exercises and transfer techniques.
• Assists PT in performing tests/evaluations as needed.
• Maintain medical records with daily care documentation.
• Supervise and evaluate Aides and PTA students as needed.
