Job summary

Texas Health Ft. Worth is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Acute Care team in Ft. Worth, TX. Full-time role with standard 40-hour weeks, Monday–Friday 8AM–5PM, with weekend rotation and some holidays.

The department supports a Magnet-designated 815-bed hospital with comprehensive stroke and trauma programs, offering opportunities for growth within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.
• No experience needed - New grads are welcome!
• PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
• Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.
• Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
• Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.
• Attends and/or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.
• Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
