Job summary

ACHE in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist. You will perform physical therapy evaluations, establish plans of care, and ensure delivery of prescribed care to patients in accordance with APTA standards and Kansas state practice acts.

You will provide direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff; promote physical therapy services and professional development across the organization; and report to the department leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Active Physical Therapy license in Kansas.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy evaluations, establishes plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the physical therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes physical therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.
