Job summary

Kaweah Health is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant for acute care in Visalia, California. This part-time daytime role supports licensed therapists and contributes to mobility, pain relief, and prevention of disability across an eight-campus system.

You will work under supervision, ensuring care aligns with physician orders and patient goals. Responsibilities include competency assessments, accurate documentation, patient/caregiver instruction, equipment handling, and collaboration

Qualifications

• CA Physical Therapy Assistant certification is required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs components of physical therapy procedures under a supervising PT.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner with progress toward goals.
• Plans and implements individual treatment programs per physician orders.
• Provides instruction to patients and caregivers on functional activities.
• Secures equipment and makes fitting adjustments as needed.
• Completes daily charges and participates in department meetings.
