Job summary

PeaceHealth St. Josephs Medical Center in Bellingham, WA seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant for acute therapy. This full-time, day shift position offers a competitive salary range of $30.69–$46.09 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and union representation.

The PTA will work under a licensed PT to implement plans of care and support patient goals. Responsibilities include documentation, interprofessional collaboration, supervision of aides, and teaching students.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA from CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current BLS certification required at hire.
• Licensed PTA in Washington state preferred or required per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plan of care under licensed PT supervision.
• Document treatments accurately and timely to standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuous care.
• Mentor therapy aides and PTA students as assigned.
• Contribute to development of new services and quality improvements.
• Participate in staff and patient care meetings and educational sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
