Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Physical Therapist license is required.
• CPR/BLS for healthcare providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed physical therapy programs.
• Perform and document an initial exam to identify problems and diagnosis.
• Evaluate treatment effects and adjust interventions for maximum benefit.
• Administer manual exercises, massage or traction to relieve pain or improve strength.
• Instruct patients and families for home treatment.
• Confer with patient, physicians and others to plan and assess interventions.
• Review referrals and records to determine required treatment.
• Record prognosis, treatment and progress; document in patient chart or system.
• Obtain patient consent for proposed interventions.
• Discharge patients when goals are attained and arrange follow-up care.
• Supervise, train and assess therapy students during affiliations.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
