Job summary

CoxHealth South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Acute Therapy team. The role emphasizes orthopedic and neurologic care, with opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will assess patients, set measurable goals, develop and implement a detailed Plan of Care, and apply evidence-based treatments. A strong mentorship culture supports new graduates and clinicians expanding into acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Missouri license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and continue education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat a variety of diagnoses with orthopedic or neurologic emphasis.
• Develop objective and functional goals and a Plan of Care.
• Plan and implement prevention, habilitation or rehabilitation services.
• Utilize mobility devices, counseling and orientation to improve mobility and relieve pain.
• Collaborate with other team members to support patient outcomes.
