Job summary

Kindred Hospital Paramount is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, specimen collection and related clerical tasks under the Lab Manager’s direction.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, formal phlebotomy training, and current BLS; phlebotomy certification or MA background is a plus. Fluent English, basic computer skills and reliable attendance are required; travel is not expected.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Must have good and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens via venipuncture and skin puncture per physician orders.
• Labels and records test tubes and logs procedures.
• Cleans and maintains venipuncture trays and supplies.
• Uses LIS to document collection and create manifests.
• Performs clerical duties as assigned by Lab Manager/Director.
