The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Acute Care PRN role. This position supports pharmacy operations across shifts from 6am to 10:30pm, with responsibilities including compounding, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of pharmacy experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Texas Pharmacy Technician registration (or intern) with BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1 year of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician role.
• TSBP registration as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern Upon Hire; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs duties under supervision in operation of pharmacy.
• Coordinates daily workflow and provides leadership to technicians.
• Performs IV calculations and prepares IV admixtures using aseptic technique.
• Handles intravenous chemotherapy and ensures timely delivery of medications.
• Audits control substances and maintains accurate inventory.
• Assists with ordering and monitoring drug inventory to optimize costs.
