Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare, part of ScionHealth in Columbus, GA, seeks a Pharmacist to prepare, dispense and monitor medications in an acute care setting.

The role requires PharmD or BS Pharmacy, an active Pharmacist license in Georgia, BLS certification, and experience with sterile products. You will supervise technicians, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and participate in patient care rounds.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Sterile Products Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and interactions.
• Prepare and dispense medications per protocols and orders.
• Compound sterile products and parenteral nutrition using aseptic techniques.
• Provide drug information and consultation to healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient medication profiles for contraindications and duplications.
• Educate patients on medication therapy and administration.
• Assist in pharmacy inventory and security for controlled substances.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings on medication management.
• Document clinical activities in patient records.
• Assist in orientation and training of technicians and students.
