Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Credentialing: Must meet Medical Staff Office requirements to obtain and retain privileges to practice as a PA at UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network.
• Florida PA license required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attending physicians in inpatient care and on rounds.
• Write orders and coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Consult with specialists and coordinate scheduling of tests and procedures.
• Perform bedside assessments and adjust care as needed.
• Provide coverage in Emergency Dept, ICU, and clinic as assigned.
