MedStar Health is looking for an Occupational Therapist (Acute Care) to join our team at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. The OT provides occupational therapy services to patients, to include screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re‑assessment and revision, patient/client re‑evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation.

The Occupational Therapist participates, as requested, in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program (Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral).
• Maryland licensure or licensure for the applicable location(s).
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Provide evaluation, treatment planning, and treatment implementation for patients.
• Document results, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
• Explain findings and plans to patients and families; collaborate with the care team.
• Mentor students and assist with orientation/mentoring of staff.
• Maintain accurate schedules and productivity within the unit.
