Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey seeks an Occupational Therapist to perform examinations, determine prognosis, provide interventions, and update the plan of care. You will assist supervisors with clinical and operational issues, help improve processes and utilization of rehab services, and ensure timely, accurate documentation and patient/family education.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy with NJ licensure; CPR certification; driver’s license and car registration for home care and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey.
• CPR certification; for home care staff, valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Consult with medical and other professionals to provide optimum patient care and efficient operations.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and modify plan of care as needed.
• Maintain evaluations, patient records and all documentation in a timely manner per guidelines.
• Utilize aides and support staff effectively.
• Communicate with patients and families, providing education and materials tailored to age and cultural needs.
