Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for an acute care per diem role, available on weekdays and some weekends. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement the care plan, monitor patient progress, and document care in accordance with regulatory standards.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited COTA program with an A.S. degree, a Florida COTA license, and American Heart Association BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited COTA program with A.S. degree.
• Licensed to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the Occupational Therapy Plan of Care under the supervision of the OT.
• Communicate patient progress to the Occupational Therapist with regard to the Plan of Care.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
