Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for the inpatient acute setting at University City. You will evaluate patients, develop and direct OT plans, and supervise staff to restore function and promote independence in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requires a Bachelor's in OT, a state OT license, and BLS. This role involves daily direct patient care, collaboration with physicians and the rehab team, and documenting progress and outcomes for discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy required.
• Applicable state OT license required.
• BLS certification required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct OT services to patients 7 days a week, including holidays.
• Evaluates patients and develops care plans including modalities, exercises and education.
• Gathers and interprets data from medical records and physicians to inform care.
• Communicates evaluations and progress to physicians and care team; coordinates discharge planning and scheduling.
• Documents evaluations, progress notes, treatment notes and discharge information.
