Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, direct and administer occupational therapy modalities prescribed by a licensed physician. This role requires developing and implementing patient treatment programs and educating patients and families on home strategies.

The OT will design programs for diverse disabilities, coordinate care with the rehabilitation team, and ensure compliant documentation and ongoing patient progress within an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience as an occupational therapist in acute care facility preferred.
• Completion of degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy required.
• BLS (AHA) current certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements patient treatment programs.
• Designs treatment programs for patients with varying degrees/types of disabilities and multiple medical problems.
• Instructs patients and families in home programs and provides education on therapy modalities.
