ResponsibilitiesMayo Clinic Arizona is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals with a strong interest in hematology to join our Blood & Marrow Transplant department. As a Hematology and Cellular Therapy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing hematology, transplant, and cellular therapy treatments. We are looking for team players who are committed to excellence and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care to hematology, transplant, and cellular therapy patients in the inpatient setting.
- Work 10-12 hour daytime shifts, including rotations to the Cellular Therapy Clinic.
- Participate in a rotational schedule for holidays and weekends.
- Cross-train in the outpatient setting and provide night coverage as needed, based on department requirements.
During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question - Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
QualificationsAcute Care Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as an ACNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:- Active BLS and ACLS, RN First Assist certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
- Strong interest in hematology and cellular therapy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in hematology or transplant care is preferred but not required.
