Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license is required.
• Experience coordinating patient care and supervising support staff.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and organize the daily care of patients.
• Make patient care assignments and assist in developing treatment plans with clinical staff.
• Provide ongoing assessment and documentation of patients' physical and psychosocial status from admission to discharge.
• Direct support staff to coordinate unit workflow and report issues to supervisors.
• Administer medications and treatments per facility policies.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for diagnoses or plan changes.
• Complete monitoring and notes for medication administration and staff observations.
• Document nursing notes, transfer forms and other records.
• Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and goals.
• Respond to emergencies and intervene with agitated patients.
• Provide orientation and support to unit staff.
• Ensure safety and infection control standards are met for the unit.
