Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ seeks Physician Assistant and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient care to pre/post liver transplant patients and other hepatology conditions. This role collaborates with physicians and the health care team across the continuum of care and participates in on-call rotations, weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s in Nursing with ACNP/AGACNP certification or PA-C with NCCPA and AZ Board registration, current BLS/ACLS, and

Qualifications

• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a ACNP or AGACNP.
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
• Active BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required
• Transplant or Internal Medicine experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide health care across the continuum of care for assigned patients in a hospital setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team; participate in on-call rotations.
• Obtain patient history, comprehensive assessment, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe therapies.
• Mentor others and participate in clinical improvement and research projects as appropriate
