Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs.
• Current license as an RN in Illinois and APRN license in Illinois or PA license in Illinois. Pending credentials may be acceptable with board approval.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations for patients.
• Provide direct clinical care to patients and manage diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies; order and interpret tests per privileges.
• Educate patients and families; document care and teaching in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and health professionals; participate in quality improvement and research.
